More experience for Kasper

Stuart Pearce has extended Kasper Schmeichel's temporary stay at Bury for another month following a successful initial spell.

Kasper has been getting very positive reviews and another spell at Bury will give him much needed match experience.

He's not figured in City's first team so far, but a debut must not be that far away.

With City's season effectively over, apart from trying to finish as high up the table as they can so that they get more 'prize money', it's a good time to blood a few more yougsters to see if they can cut it at the top level.

David James' form has been very average recently and he was criticised for allowing Dean Ashton to beat him at the near post in the recent FA Cup quarter final - it's time for a bit more competition for the keeper's jersey.

With all the present injuries now is a great chance for the City youngsters to fulfill their potential and show that they have the ability to compete in the Premiership. One of the most important ingredients for success is confidence and that stems from the goalkeeper outwards something we have been lacking for some time. With three fit ‘keepers sitting on the sidelines surely now is the time to give one of them an opportunity to show what they can do.
