Robinho set for UEFA Cup return
11th March: Manchester City forward Robinho has undergone some successful treatment on his ankle at home in Brazil, and looks set to make a return to action in a sky blue shirt when the men from Eastlands face AaB Aalborg in the UEFA Cup on Thursday.
The South American has struggled with the ankle injury since December, and it kept him out of the side's recent 2-0 victory over Aston Villa. With City uninvolved in any action this past weekend, manager Mark Hughes made the decision to allow Robinho to travel home to Sao Paulo, where his hometown club physio Luiz Rosan treated the injury.
Robinho's return provides a welcome boost for Mark Hughes, whose striking options for the Aalborg clash are reduced by Craig Bellamy's absence for a further two weeks with a knee injury.
Bellamy's recent form had been brilliant for the Blues, and he collected the club's Player of the Month award for February.
