'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Cook, Dunne and SWP's Words Offer Reassurance

Despite the vast majority of sports hacks relentless campaign to undermine MCFC this season, Garry Cook, Richard Dunne and SWP have all expressed City positivity...

On Tuesday night, the club continued the initiative as directed by His Highness Sheikh Mansour of reaching out to City fans and the Manchester Community by holding the 'Blues Roadshow Fans' Forum' in The Citizen's Suite at the City of Manchester Stadium.

At the event, Executive Chairman Garry Cook underlined the City hierarchy's support of The Blues' manager Mark Hughes against a back drop of the team's improvement in form ahead of the crunch UEFA Cup Round of 16 clash with long time unbeaten Aalborg.

Cook confirmed that there are no plans to assess the gaffer's position either now or at the end of the season, backing up Chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak's assertion that stability is key to the long term future of Manchester City.

Clearly coming to terms with the business that is European football, Cook hinted at the regret many of us hold over the pursuit of AC Milan superstar Kaka which became a Silvio Berlusconi spun 'Kakagate.' The Exec Chairman revealed that he regretted questioning Milan's bottle but insisted that Kaka would have found it difficult to displace Stephen Ireland from the team!

Meanwhile, the continued Great British press line that City's own superstar Robinho is disliked in the City dressing room has taken a blow from the words of the rapidly improving in form City Captain Richard Dunne and the absolutely buzzing Shaun Wright-Phillips.

Dunne said: 'He's really nice, Robinho. He'll chat to anyone. He smiles on the training ground, and he'll try different things. Sometimes they'll come off, and sometimes they won't. But he's willing to try, and he's willing to teach people. He's a really good character to have in the group.'

Vital Man City favourite SWP backed the skipper's words up on a musical tip: 'We all get on with him. And he's not as quiet as he looks in the dressing room. But we like to have noisy people around. His taste in music is all right. I like an eclectic selection of music anyway, so I'm all right with it.'

Don't expect the likes of hacks such as Michael Henderson, lest we forget his appalling 'Send In The Clowns' diatribe in January for the Maily Torygraph, to report any of the above City positivity.

PLEASE CONTRIBUTE TO THE CARL RAMSBOTTOM APPEAL:

On 27 November 2008, Carl travelled over to Germany to watch his beloved side play Schalke in the UEFA Cup, however due to a tragic incident at a German train station, Carl suffered life threatening injuries.

Due to this horrendous incident, Carl ended up in a coma for three weeks. He is currently in a rehabilitation unit in Germany while his family remain by his bedside.

The family are hopeful that Carl might be in a position to be repatriated to a rehab unit within the United Kingdom, hopefully sometime in March.

BM what do you expect from the media it's been the same ever since the takeover. Has any of our members been to a 'Roadshow'?
