Vital Man City Expects A Record Breaking Night

Thursday 12 March 2009, City face Danish side Aalborg for a place in the last eight of the UEFA Cup, but where will you be?

An expected Eastlands crowd of 30,000 will be cheering the Blues on, and then of course fans unable to go can always watch the game live on ITV4, however…

Interest in tonight's game is almost reaching fever pitch with Vital MC members adding their thoughts and opinions all the time.

Previous record (January) was set when we played Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup. Numbers on the forums at the same time were 32 registered members and around 260 or so guests. I wonder if we'll get close?

Not the best of propoganda, when you have to close a section of the stadium so that it looks full.

The top tier closure idea is to compact the crowd and get more atmosphere around the pitch, Buzz. The club hierarchy are totally bemused by the low attendances in Europe.

Obviously being on terrestial T.V. (BBC3, ITV4) & the current economic climate it will be great to get nearly 30,000! The heirarchy also want to expand Eastlands so hopefully by then we'll be in the Champs League......

I agree Merlin Fifa have ruined football by making the Uefa cup not as important, which has made the Champions league an elite club, that not to be in it costs Clubs a lot of money, thats why they don't want City to succeed. To offset that they must make the Uefa more attractive and get more teams involved.

Unfortunately can't go due to having to watch the kiddies and being a bit on the skint side (again, what else is new?). Not going makes me feel like a glory hunter!
