City Linked With Villa Again!

Valencia have today declared that talks between Manchester City and themselves have taken place over the possible transfer of Spanish forward David Villa.

However Valencia have stressed that no bid was made, and City failed to agree on their asking price which was deemed a "significant amount".

City have declined to comment on the situation as they look to focus on their UEFA cup battle which takes place tonight.

Come-on City!

I'm sure he'd do well but I never try and read too much into these 'galactico' rumours. I can see Valencia wanting him to go to us for financial reasons but I still can't see him coming to us.

I agree Goat, but confirmation has been given by an official of the club that negotiations have started. It will soley depend on the player if he wants to come and if no other club comes in and matches the bid.

Hope he does decide to join! Players like him & Robinho that will attract other solid players. Onwards & upwards.

I would be happy to see him wearing our shirt but I will wait until the summer window before I think about any transfers seriously

Yeah, too soon to think about transrer targets although I was under the impression that he didn't want to come to City/England. If that is the case what is the point of persuing him?

Ii really depends on the individual, you are all spouting that they are only at City for the money, but given half the chance you all would do the same, to make ypur futures financially secure.Lets face it there is a lot of money to be had for the top players and their careers are relatively short, but to say that all they are doing it for is the money, Yes thats right and I would too.
