60/40 Chance Samuel Eto'o Will Become A Blue

One of the world's finest strikers, Samuel Eto'o will more than likely leave Barcelona in the summer, but where will he end up?

Eto'o has suggested he would be open to the idea of playing in the Premier League, amid reports that he does not see eye to eye with Barca coach Pep Guardiola. Moreover, with only one year left on his contract the 28-year-old's options are vast.

What we do know is that the Cameroonian has snubbed Barcelona's efforts to open talks about extending his deal, and with that in mind, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and of course Manchester City must have a realistic chance of bringing another world class star to England.

Of course, we don't actually know if City has made any official enquiries, nevertheless, rest assured I bet someone behind the Eastlands scene have being doing their homework.

Possibility

If City were prepared to pull out all the stops in January's Kaka affair, what is the possibility of Eto'o becoming a Blue sometime in the summer. My guess is 60/40.

Watch with awe while enjoying the background music.

15 great Eto'o goals

Certainly no doubting Eto'o's class (two apostrophes, one name - now that's just greedy), but two thoughts spring to mind. Firstly, how well will he adapt to the English game? Secondly, he's reported to have a bit of an ego on him (understatement), so would he regard coming to City as a step down? Would certainly give him a very warm welcome if he did join us!

No chance in hell , why would he go to Citeh and miss out on Europe and play thursday night football instead challenging for mid table nothingness...he needs to be at one of the big 4 heavy hitters..

We couldn't target a better player in my view. Now Ireland is showing his mettle we don't need Kaka (lol). But seriously if we got this striker we would be dynamite.

I pray he comes. 25 goals a season guaranteed. Hes better than berbatov, torres, drogba and rooney. Check his goal stats, city would be lucky to get him.

This guy would be my number one pick this summer, much better than Villa.

Dearest I bling r*d - would you mind explaining to me which of the "big 4 heavy debtors" you think will have enough cash to spend on a player of Eto'o's calibre? Let me see - Hicks & Gillette - £350m debt to service, and no buyer. Glazers - £750m debt to service and more to come - Abramovitch - not spending now that he's lost over half his net worth - Arsenal - not top 4 for much longer and the mortgage ain't gonna pay itself. That leaves the future BIG 1 heavy hitter, and that's us. Now go away and sulk like a little girl (unlike Sir bacon face who woule never ever do that)

cant see this gut coming as no CL and not certain of any euro places next season as yet. although would be a massive boost on rep and value to the squad

The best goals are when he grows his hair, can we have that in the contract?
