City Squaddy Danny Mills Rules Out Hughes Exit

City Squaddy Danny Mills Rules Out Hughes Exit

Yep, he's still here! Former City full back but still City squad member and TV pundit Danny Mills offers words of reassurance to City's gaffer...

The cynic in me reckons this could be a last ditch, desperate attempt by Millsy to get out of that Moonchester costume, but it could well be that the former England full back is in the know over a City hierarchy intention to commit to stability at the club:

'I don't think Mark Hughes' position is under threat at all. He will definitely be here next season and looking to add to the squad.

'Don't forget Mark has effectively only had one transfer window to work in and he is still trying to get his ethos across to players.

'We are all a bit disappointed with the league position but it is not surprising with everything that has gone on.'

For those City fans like me who remain gobsmacked at Mills' seemingly eternal City stay, the 31 year old's Blues contract expires this summer.

PLEASE CONTRIBUTE TO THE CARL RAMSBOTTOM APPEAL:

On 27 November 2008, Carl travelled over to Germany to watch his beloved side play Schalke in the UEFA Cup, however due to a tragic incident at a German train station, Carl suffered life threatening injuries.

Due to this horrendous incident, Carl ended up in a coma for three weeks. He is currently in a rehabilitation unit in Germany while his family remain by his bedside.

The family are hopeful that Carl might be in a position to be repatriated to a rehab unit within the United Kingdom, hopefully sometime this month.

If you would like to make a donation, please make cheques payable to P&W MCFCCSA and send it to Ian Ramsbottom. 12 Plant Hill Road Blackley M96NH.

Did not say the Stephen ireland was leaving for Sunderland? So much for Mills' predictions. One thing for certain come summer he wont be a City player anymore even though now we can afford him.

Did Humphrey Bogart know what was going on at Chelsea? Probably not. Does our former number 18 at City? Probably not.

He's getting paid £35k per week to sit on his backside, so probably feels he can say pretty much whatever he likes. Yes' he'll be gone in the summer (thanks for all your HARD WORK Danny), let's hope his predicitons about Hughes staying are correct.

You're probably right Danny, Mark Hughes may well be here at the start of next season - you wont!
