'If It's Football, It's Vital'

I Would Snap Up John Terry Tomorrow

Since the ADUG takeover numerous players have been linked to Manchester City, however, Blues boss Mark Hughes admitted he would definitely join the queue should the Chelsea and England skipper become available.

He said...

'We have been linked with about 140 players - and John was one of them.'

'John is an outstanding player, someone who everyone in football has a great admiration for.'

'He's a great captain, a great guy and someone who commands respect because of his attitude, application and the way he leads his team.'

'Any manager would be interested in John Terry - but I just can't see him coming on to the market any time soon.'

Having the England captain in the squad would certainly improve our standing with the FA, because as we all saw earlier in the season, JT can get away with just about anything. Not a nice person but a very good footballer, and would be a very welcome addition to our backline. He could be the player to tutor Ned into being the next England Captain.

I agree BM - would take Terry in a flash but not at the expense of swapping Robinho.

As he doesn't want to join us/leave Chelsea he'd only be moving to us for the money.

Add him to your fantasy football team, that's the closest you'll get!

Dear Merlin, the story won't go away, and as we all know, there is no smoke without fire. Several sources have stated repeatedly that Terry is making the correct noises to mollify the Chelsea fans but is very much interested in hearing what City have to offer. I'm not saying that anything definite will happen, in fact I'd bet against Terry leaving Chelsea now that Scholari has gone, but you never know what might happen in football, so don't mock matey, it might come back to haunt you.
