i hope beckham gets the 109 caps because he deserves it for the stuff hes showed for england. its looking more likely that SWP will miss both games through an injured ankle and maybe a doubt for the arsenal game a week on saturday.

Agree with you BM on Beckham's 109th cap, but i think SWP will be available for the midweek international - maybe on the bench.

Prefer to see SWP on the bench than risk more problems.

I guess it's just me, then, because I've always considered Beckham to be an over-rated and over-hyped show pony who would not have nearly as many caps if he hadn't played for the rags. Can't deny he's done a few good things for England (not surprising given his number of caps), but you also can't deny that an infinite number of monkeys with an infinite number of typewriters, given an infinite ammount of time probably couldn't wriet a worse piece of crap than Becham's biography...

Brand Beckham has stumbled and crawled towards all those caps. What proportion of them have been as subs?

Good win for Enland last night, after some sloppy play at the back which allowed Ukraine back into the match and it was a tough game for England and another 3 points towards qualification. I thought that taking off Lennon for Beckham was a mistake, but he did get the foul that led to the second and winning goal for England, my beef is that Becks gets these caps and has not played the full game, unlike Bobby Moore and billy Wright, who started all their games for England, no getting a cap for a five minute burst. They might as well have played me for the last five minutes. We could all register and get Crapello to put us on for 30 secs and get a cap.

I just can't understand why this is on the site, he hasn't even been linked with City which is unusual to say the least, but this player who is an ex rag has not earned full caps, perhaps they should be awarded a fez for coming on as sub or maybe an England scarf, but not a cap.
