Robinho: I WILL Be The Best Player In The World

Britain's most expensive player, Robinho insists playing at Manchester City will make him the best player in the world.

And he's adamant he was enticed to Eastlands because of the prospect of playing regularly and feels that such consistency will help him fulfil his potential.

The Telegraph quoted the Brazilian star and saying...

"Playing at Real Madrid gave me a lot of visibility and I'm grateful that I had the chance to play there. But I knew that in that squad, I wasn't going to achieve my goal of being the best player in the world. That's why I decided to leave."

"I had the ability and the skill to be in the first team, but I didn't always play. I was only in the team off and on. But at Manchester City, I play every match and I've already scored 11 goals, the second highest in the league."

I agree BM - let's not forget that this is the lads first season in the Prem. League - he 'will' get over his current lean spell.

Thelad is getting frustrated with the rough treatment he receives from all of the cloggers in the Premier League, something he's never experienced in either Spain or Brazil. I reckon the lad needs to get to the gym over the summer and put a bit of muscle on and then we'll really see the best of him.

He needs to come to terms with the PL style and start putting some more commitment into ALL his games not just some...when he is a delight to watch.

I think what a lot of people forget, is that he is a young lad in a foreign country, he is in his first season in the premier and the opposition dont double team him the treble team him. He will get better and will enjoy more freedom when we sign more quality to join him.

I thought I would add here that Sky were trying to make something about Robinho getting subbed in Brazils latest match against Peru, what they didn't say was that Brazil were three up at the time and looking to blood a youngster with 20 minutes to go. Elano was also subbed later on in the game for Goofy, who I am pleased to say is not interested in a move to Manchester City. Goofy I think its more a case of you had your chance there wont be another.

I don't think we should let Brazil's current number 10 detain us. He's not coming to City.

A small point but aren't the names on City's shirts all in lower case? Except that in the photo at the head of this thread Robinho's name is in upper case. What does it all mean?

When was the last time you scored an away goal, Mr.Robinho? When was the last time you even scored? Accept it. You are a flop.
