Manchester City Kids Thrash AC Milan + Video

The Dallas Cup opened with plenty of goals in Bracket B courtesy of Eintracht Frankfurt's 6-1 demolition of Urawa Red Diamonds. Vancouver Whitecaps also notched up an impressive win over Club Futbol Monterrey in Bracket C, the scoreline reading 4-1.

The days much anticipated headline fixture was between Manchester City and AC Milan in Bracket A. The game followed on from the grand opening ceremony and it did not disappoint.

City had a 1-0 lead by half-time with Liberian wonder-kid Alex Nimely-Tchineni running riot through AC Milan's back line.

After the break, a Robbie Mak penalty and two more goals sealed an emphatic win for the young City side. Manchester City 4-0 AC Milan.

The young City stars follow their crushing win over AC Milan against Canada's Toronto and Mexico's Tigres, who drew 1-1 earlier in the day.

Manchester City Squad: Abdi Ibrahim, James Poole, Jeremy Helan, Andrew Mitchell, John Guidetti, Joe Clegg, Tobias Johansen, Reece Wabara, Andrew Tutte, Robbie Mak, Alex Nimely-Tchineni, Greg Cunningham, Chris Chantler, Ahmad Benali, Jack Redshaw, Sean Tse, Dedryk Boyata, Omar Elabdellaoui.

Great result - interesting to see how they go on in the next game as it's played only 17 hours after this one finished.

It will be a tough ask but I think we took a big enough squad to cope.

The thought occurs to me that with Milano's age structure the average age of their youth team is probably 28 years and 9 months.
