You have got to ask yourself how Robinho has got through the past three months considering the allegations that were hanging over him...
Is it any wonder that the player, pilloried relentlessly by sports hacks since the turn of the year over his poor form has been completely out of sorts since he was called in for questioning?
He must have been all over the shop mentally for weeks. If anything, he should be applauded for sticking to his task and carrying on playing.
Chris Nathaniel, Robbie's representative made the following statement:
'I am pleased to announce that Robson de Souza (Robinho) has been cleared of all allegations of rape.
'He has maintained his innocence throughout the police interview process and I am delighted that no further action will be taken.
'Robinho is a hard-working family man, who is extremely passionate about football. He now wishes to focus his attention on Manchester City to help create a successful end to the season.
'Robinho will be making an official statement at a later date, in the mean time he wants to pass on his sincere thanks to all his family, friends, fans and Manchester City colleagues who have supported him through this terrible ordeal.'
The hacks who have been queuing up to declare our record signing a failure, must be gutted.
With this horrible burden lifted, we may now begin to see again the Robinho who tore Premier League defences to shreds before he was questioned by the Police in January.
Hamburg, beware!
