Vital MC Man Of The Match Awards: West Brom

England Under 21 Captain Nedum Onuoha is growing in stature with every assured performance as City's centre back. He's Vital MC's MOTM against the battling Baggies...

Ned had to work like hell to force himself back into the City side this season after a series of frustrating injuries, but since then he has let nobody down with his no nonsense, sensible defending and increasing authority.

The story goes that England supremo Fabio Capello was at Eastlands to watch Ned against Hamburg last week and that a senior international call up is not far away. What a fairy tale turn of events that would be for the MCFC Academy graduate who had fallen out of favour and remains coveted by a number of our rivals.

Get this lad signed up long term Sparky.

Are we looking at the next Manchester City skipper?

Like last season, these polls give a good indicator of who's performing consistently well for City this term. It's noticeable that 3 players who started their careers in the Aacdemy are now in this season's top 5 Vital MC overall ratings.

Ned has been class since stuart pearce was in charge. He dosent the attention like richards and ireland because he is humble and undertstated. Future city captain in the making.

Didn't get a chance to vote on this weeks MOM poll but whilst i thought Ned had a good game, my vote would have gone to Elano.
