The season is not over and we are already into the realms of fantasy with star names being linked to us. I needed a short break at the end of the season before it all began but it ain't to be.

Why would Buffon go to Man City? He's plenty rich and adored in Turin. Likewise, Joe Hart is a good keeper. Too bad if you let him go.

I'd be very disappointed if we let Joe Hart go on a permanent basis. If Hart is getting impatient, then by all means, let him have a season's loan somewhere (Birmingham have been mentioned) and then bring him back a more experienced player. As for Buffon, what do we need him for when we've already got Shay Given? Can't see Gigi coming to warm the bench can you?

You'd be hard pressed to convince me that Buffon is better than Given, and as poor as Junventus' defense has been this season, it's tough to even tell how good he is, anymore.

Can't wait till the 1st. July - it should be exciting and a lot of fun. Bet this is the most visited site on the Vital network.

I was watching the City debate show and they made a good point, that Terry is a wealthy man and Chelsea are still the place to be because they will still win trophies, unless Chelsea themselves want to get rid, I doubt whether we will see the likes of Terry at this club for some time. The other good point from the programme, was that we have to transfers in stages, whilst we wont attract the best because of the lack of European competition then we must buy players a grade up from what we have now.

Why buy Buffon, when we have Hart and Given, two perfectly good goalies for this club. If Hart does want first team football, a loan deal only should be arranged, but lets keep him on the staff.

I agree wholeheartedly with samboney on this. I think Buffon is fantastic, but in Given we have probablly the Premiership's best keeper and I'm happy with that. I think we should keep Hart close and make sure our success brings him plenty of games.

City dont need buffon. Buffon in my opinion is the second best keeper in the world behind casillias. The advantage of keeping given is - he settled in, younger, less injury prone and a better long term investment. If buffon came id be happy because hes a proven winner and one of the best. But id be slightly happier if given stayed. I hear by reliable sources that sergio-ramos will sign for city in the summer. We need a top notch, pacey rightback next year. Hed be great... alongside given
