Michael Johnson Goes Into Rehab

Mark Hughes has stated that England Under-21 star Michael Johnson will undertake a summer rehabilitation programme in an effort to overcome a long term pelvic problem.

The Manchester City manager explained that there was an imbalance in Johnson's pelvic muscles and that the summer treatment would involve 'lengthening muscles', adding, 'The good news is that he doesn't need surgery.

Hughes concluded: 'It will take a period of rehab to enable the balance of his body to be in line to let him play pain-free. That's the latest news we have on it.

'We would like to think he will be available for the start of the season. After an intense period of rehabilitation, we hope that will be the case.

'The pains he was having on his right-hand side have resolved themselves because we have been able to do a lot of work on that side. It is about making sure the balance is there, which will enable him to play.'

Its much better news than the ones earlier in the year about his career in jeprody. We are desperate for a box-to-box midfielder and I can't wait fot this lad to be back!

I agree 8th, if we can see a fit Johnno, he learn a lot from the talent we have at the club and he and the club will both benefit from that.
