Vital MC Man Of The Match Awards: Tottenham

England Under 21 skipper Nedum Onuoha only returned to the City side at the turn of the year but the MCFC Academy graduate's growing reputation has been enhanced with each game...

England manager Fabio Capello has continued to monitor the eloquent Onuoha's development this year. As he continues to hold City's back four together, a senior international call up cannot be ruled out before too long.

Rumours persist around Eastlands that Ned will be given the City captain's armband this summer after Blues stalwart Richard Dunne departs.

Ned is Vital MC's 52nd MOTM of the 55 games played so far this season.

Ned gets better with every game and he got my vote. He spent a lot of time covering for Dunne yesterday and is one of the bright spots, in an otherwise dissapointing season.

Nedum is a future superstar. Quiet, intelligent and a clever footballer, hope this lad stays at City for many years to come. Don't want to jinx him, but he looks a cert for a senior England call up sometime soon. Now if we can just get some decent defenders around him!
fifthcolumnblue
i agree fifthcolumnblue, ned has all the qualities of a great footballer and gentleman of the pitch. He is deeply religious and he is 100% devoted to city. He doesnt make last ditch challenges that catches the headlines like micah richards, he doesnt have to because he reads the game excellently. He is quiet and assured in matches and he doesnt make mistakes. He and ireland have made me proud this season. I hope they end their careers in a city shirt.
enzo city
hey folks new to this. Ned had a great game yesterday he is outstanding of a player. It would be a tough one between him and ireland for player of the year for city well thats what i personally think now. We were very unfortunate yesterday we got robbed as always.

Ned is a credit to the club the way he has blossomed this year has been great to watch .....future captain material
Doody
Nedum has turned out some great performances this season and could now be our most consistent performer -- strange in a defence which is so inconsistent. I can't work that out -- but I agree with all the positive comments above.
