Robinho & City Fans Have The Last Laugh

Barcelona outclassed a poor Manchester United effort in Wednesday night's Champions League Final and wow, didn't we City fans enjoy every moment.

The Sun reported Brazilian and Manchester City star, Robinho as saying...

'I was cheering for Barca. First, because I have friends there and also because United are our biggest rivals.'

'I was sure Barca would prove they are Europe's best team, not just Europe - they have the greatest and most powerful squad in the world.'.

Well done FC Barcelona, you deserved to be crowned Kings of Europe. As for the Rags, you deserve to be crowned Kings of nowt!

Let's offer Robi a contract extension based on this statement... :)

United win 4 trophies, city don't win any, but city fans have the last laugh? Okay United lost to a side containing the two best players in the world in my opinion (Messi and Iniesta), but let's be realistic they've still been far and away the best English side again this year.

United won 4 trophies? Ok, Pl title is not to be sniffed at, and they won. Fair enough. But the charity shield and world club championship really don't count, and if you ask the majority of rags they couldn't give a flying .... about the Carling cup. The fact is that their arrogance led to them booking a victory parade weeks in advance (and then announcing the parade to the press) and I've even seen some CL winners 2009 shirts being sported about town. As a toffee I'm sure you'ld have been delighted if it was Liverpool who were utterly humiliated on Wednesday night, but Pool fans are NOWHERE near as smug, arrogant and full of crap as manure fans, so this moment has a very special resonance for us, especially if like me, you live less than half a mile from old trafford. And for what it's worth, I don't think manure would have won the title if christine rondildo had been correctly sent off and banned for 6 matches for TWICE kicking out at opposing fans (ask any Stoke fan their opinion on this) and Rooney should have had a ban for an identical kick at an opponent. SWP received a 3 match ban for a similar offence, ask yourself why Rondildo and Rooney got away with the same thing? Everyone should be happy when the playground bully get's his comeuppance. So why aren't you?

fifthcoloumnblue, i am sorry but you comment is so pathetic. you claim all the cups as mickymouse and otherthings and yet you have not even won any for so long. Your best finish is 8th? how can you have the last laugh

EvertonMike, i hate to say it but you are right. This result though is our one moment of 'gloating glory' at the end of a very poor season.
