mmmmm 1st. July?

City need to make the most of this transfer summer. If we're still waiting for big names into August it could get very fraught and it would show that there is something wrong with our recruitment tactics. Cook and Hughes have made all kinds of noises that they feel they can lead rather than using agents. I just hope they get the balance right.

Barry, Tevez, Lescott, Metzelder, Eto'o, Schweinsteiger and Jansen would do it for me. Oh, and by the way, Mr Cook -- can you do that by the 4th of July?

Tevez. Or a suprise signing like hleb or aguero

We have to have players coming in the first week to make a statement of intent and get the ball rolling so other players will hopefully follow.

I predict we'll make a shock signing (Like Gareth Barry for instance) on 2nd June 2009. Remember, you heard it here first!
