Wenger: City Could Challenge Top Four

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says Manchester City are capable of challenging the Premier Leagues top four.

'If Man City has a successful period in buying in the transfer market, they could fight with the top four,' said the Frenchman.

'If they complete all the signings they announce, like Aston Villa they'll get a bit closer.'

'Then you have teams like Tottenham, who are on the fringe always of the top four, who maybe have an opportunity as well.'

What he's just saying is that you guys will replace Arsenal in the top 4. Cheers! :-)

If hughes and khaldoon manage to get a squad of 22 top internationals, then top4 would be a realistic target with arsenal and liverpool having money issues.

Wenger is just being honest here. And he's absolutely right, of course. There could be a lot of surprises next season. the Top 4 could turn into a runaway group of 6 or 7. The transfers that are coming in to City now are top drawer and with masses of Premiership experience. Top 6 is looking very achievable.

The only thing he got wrong was using the word Could instead of WILL..

The bit they didn't print was when he heard we were after Eto'o. What does "merde" mean?
