Tevez Destination Imminent

Sky Sports has revealed tonight that Carlos Tevez and his advisers are ready to listen this week to representatives of all the clubs vying for his signature...

If he stays in England, and the word around town is that he'd like to stay in the North West, then Liverpool, City and the rags are his likeliest destinations with Chelsea a daarn saarf outsider.

Much will depend upon how the rag hierarchy approach this. Massively in debt, will they use the first instalments of the Ladyboy Riverdancer transfer fee to secure Tevez or decide to look elsewhere?

Dan Taylor, The Grauniad's man in Manchester reckons Sir Taggart has been desperately calling Tevez from his holiday home in France in a bid to get him to stay in Stretford.

In City's advantage, the Eastlands club can pay for any player anywhere with one lorryload of cash whereas the likes of seriously in debt Liverpool would have to stump up instalments to Tevez's owners.

Meanwhile, the rags have put a brave face on losing their all of a sudden detested main goal scorer and an inability to no longer shriek 'Argentina, Argentina' around the swamp would be very difficult for them to take, particularly if he opts to join his pal Pablo Zabaleta at City.

Game involving vast sums of money ON.

You guys need to replace Richard Dunne with a top Defender, and add a goalscoring Target man - then id say your set. Youre squad is looking brilliant at the moment but with Dunne + Caidedo playing youre never gonna crack the top4 imo. I actually think what City are doing is healthy for British football, breaking up the top4 monopoly can only be a good thing in the long run for the British game.

I think Dunnr is just fine!

And what the HELL is Tevez doing! Liverpool, Manchester C, Manchester U....

I agree, breaking the top four would be great for the Prem! Might be a bit bias in sayin this, as a villa fan, but i would love to see it happen. Better us than you but if u did it i certainly wouldnt complain!

Barcelona are in talks with Valencia over David Villa. This almost certainly means Eto'o will be leaving. If City can get Tevez or Eto'o (or both), we will have an extremely formidable attack. Unfortunately that still leaves us in desperate need of some new defenders!

I agree 8thsi, but we have plenty of time and I think Hughes will have his targets, its a wait and see. Also Tevez looks like he is auctioning himself to the highest bidder. according to some papers he has told taggart he is not going back to the swamp.

Apparently the definition of "imminent" for player transfers is "maybe in the next two or three months, or maybe 6 or maybe never." There are many dictionary definitions more exact, but my favourite is: "An event is imminent if a reasonable person using common sense, training or experience concludes an event will occur without delay unless there is prompt intervention."
