City Kick The 2009/10 Season Off At Blackburn

Aug 15: Manchester City kick off the 2009/10 Premier League campaign with a short away trip at Blackburn Rovers.

Other 2009 highlights include 19 September - Manchester United(a), 21 November - Liverpool(a) and Chelsea - 5 December(h).

Over the next couple of days Sky and Setanta will be getting their heads together to decide which games they intend showing live. In essence that means several of the 2009 fixtures will move from the traditional Saturday 3pm starts to Sunday, and or Monday. Both broadcasters are expected to announce their first three months schedules by the end of June.

I think its a decent enough beginning to the fixtures. BB away is very winnable, Toffees moved to a later day(Europa Cup), Wolves becoming our 1st home match, Pompey away(glad its in August) + a Coca Cola Cup match! Can't wait.......

It's apparently a universal law about Man City that the bizarre will happen on a regular basis. So Mark Hughes back to Blackburn. With or without Roque Santa Cruz, we will see...

I can't believe Hughes will be prepared to take a gamble on the crocked Paraguayan. If his knee problems re-emerge he'll be a liability to team and manager.
