Damn, not one away fan impaled. We should have made a Yernitid tree, like in the film '300'.

Looks like the plan was a failure RobsonGreensleeves. I guess there's always tomorrow?

Pointless destruction of one of the most bold and innovative public works of art in years. Bit disappointed that our owners couldn't stump up the funds to have the sculpture repaired, but at least it's not being destroyed, only put into storage. B of the Bang will return!

Pointless erection surely?

It will never come out of storage FifthClolumn. Quietly scrapped in 5 or 10 years time. Agree.. crying shame.
Kid Charlemagne
dont need to scrap it, it will simply rust away.

was always a bit of an i-saw but good for navigation if your not from the local community as could be seen from quite a distance and as long as you were heading towards it you knew you were going in the right direction for the stadium. certainly wont miss it though, almost quite famillier now with manchester after 25years back and forwards from jersey for games.

Sportcity will surely give us an iconic replacement. I did like the G of the BANG, but next time it would make sense for a work of art to be able to withstand the Manchester weather.
