'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Man City Forum Facelift

Following on from this weeks Vital Manchester City front page facelift I think it's about time we had a look at our forums and decide whether to leave them as they are, or give them something similar?

These are my forum proposals:

Newcomers Welcome - to remain with guests having access.

City Chat - keep it exactly as it is with guests allowed to view.

Off Topic - see above.

Other Sports - I would like to get rid and merge it with the 'Off Topic' forum.

Games & Quizzes - this forum is very popular, so we keep it with restricted access to registered members only. In other words guests cannot view the contents.

Site Information - a great way of keeping VMC members updated with future sites plans and of course, members feedback. We keep this for registered users only.

New Forums Suggestions

I would like to introduce a '2010 World Cup' forum. The topics could include any international game, well until the World Cup kicks-off. Once the tournament has finished the forum would be deleted.

'Music Forum' - members would be encouraged to post Youtube video's, gig dates and venues etc.

Don't forget, this is your site - just think of me as the guardian, someone who attempts to keep the site ticking over for all to enjoy.

If we could have your opinions in by next Saturday that would be great.

1. Comprehensive stats on a game would be nice - but I imagine that might be a lot of work. 2. World Cup Thread - goes without saying, even though I just have. 3. That world map locator was great, but apparently cannot be done. Still would be a nice idea to know where all members and visitors reside, for no other reason than for curiosities sake as we become a global club. 4. Free hot dogs and burgers for members on a Wednesday evening.

Tudor: Sounds really good. It would be nice if there was a nostalgic topic area to differentiate from topics of the moment. For example in this we could have - best player we have ever had? Worst player? best match? funniest moment? best eleven of all times? worst eleven of all time? I quite like a bit of nostalgia and to hear of people's experiences supporting the Blues and of their views of past players etc.
