Hughes Back From Holiday For Game Of Patience

City gaffer Mark Hughes is back from Blackpool and staying cool as his bids to sign Barçelona's Samuel Eto'o and ex-rag Carlos Tevez remain in place...

The two pictures should start to become a little clearer once The Blues state of the art new website launches later today following some fine tuning.

Hughes, resplendant in a sombrero confirmed firstly regarding Eto'o's fall out with Barça:

'We have made an offer but there appears to be a situation between the player and his club that we cannot be part of.

'We just have to sit back and see what develops. Patience is a word that has been mentioned and we may need some of it.'

Secondly, he turned to Carlos Tevez:

'I am a huge admirer of Carlos. Everyone is aware of his situation and we are interested, as we are in all top quality players.

'We will have to see what happens but these are very early days.'

It looks as if Planet Blue will have to stretch out and wait a while longer for The Blues Revolution to go up a gear again...

The gaffer needs a great pre-season and I don't think he'll be getting over excited about transfers this week. Patience is a very good policy for him just now. The commercial boys will be poring over all the details and Mark's time is best spent elsewhere... with the squad he already has.

Tevez's agent Jooraboom (or whatever) has always stated that Tevez would decide where he was going when he (Tevez) got back from holiday on 7th July.

leave hughes to it and he will build a good squad but i doubt genuine world stars will be brought in though while he is our manager.
Mike Hunt
Mike Hunt - lets hope that is just hearsay mate, i think he will be able to bring a few and as long as he can cope with them and city progress into the top 4, then more will follow for sure.
