'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Gelson Gone

Disaster at VMC legend Buzz Lightyear's household as his Gelson Fernandes Fan Club must now officially close. And it's Saint Etienne who have signed the Swiss midfielder...

From headless chicken to headless poulet? Well, this will be one of the first inevitable departures from Eastlands this month.

The fee is undisclosed, but I'd wager we've taken a hit on the player.

Gelson signed for City amid the frenzied month that Svennis had two summers ago to bolster a squad of relegation certs.

He was full of energy and ran around like a mad thing, but all too often, he'd dive in late and face the consequences which quite often destabilised the team's plans.

Gelson's reknowned as a nice bloke and nobody would deny that he didn't give it his best.

We wish him well in Ligue 1 with Les Verts.

Good luck fella, your ballet-style and exaggerated 2 yard passes will be better suited to the french league. I'm sure at a lower level he'll blossom (and probably earn himself another big money move when his time in the premiership is forgotten). Nice guy tho, wish him well.

Good luck in the future GF, but I'm sorry to say you wont be missed!

Alright, ob! Where've you been?
Johnny Baguette
I think he could develop into a pretty decent player (given 2-3 years). He was over priced and not developed enough to merit the pricetag and didn't add anything different to our current squad. it will be a good move for him to play more football. Good luck gelson, you tried your best.
eighthsin
Good luck Fernandes but won't be missing you.

Fee was £2 mill I believe though City are saying undisclosed. Honestly thought he tried too hard and went flying in when he should have stood off a bit. He did try his best for the team and his commitment was never in doubt (listening M'Elano?). Good Luck GF.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO............Ha Ha but seriously,good luck gelson :)

Good luck, Gelson. City have moved up a gear too far for you, and midfield is City's strongest area in depth. You would have struggled to get any games next season.
Sindbad
Can't fault his effort, its just that he couldn't tackle, pass , head or shoot, apart from that he was a decent footballer.
Buzz Lightyear
There was a rumour around VMC for a while that you were his agent, Buzz!

The Headless Chicken has departed! But good luck to him in the future
Blue Lad Scragg
Regardless what anyone may say, gelson always put in 100% whenever he plaid. Unlike some city players who were fans favourites. I wish him good luck and im sure he will return to premiership one day,
