Eto'o: 24 Hour City Person Or The Blues Move On



The summer winds of change swirling around SportCity today are set to whip up to storm force as the City hierarchy step up their bid for a major signing...

The word down Ashton New Road is that The Blues have given the brilliant if somewhat eccentric Samuel Eto'o 24 hours to make up his mind over his Eastlands v The Nou Camp game of chance.

Eto'o is already in danger of burning all his bridges in Barçelona if Barça President Joan Laporta's claims that Eto'o can't be arsed to answer the phone to him are anything to go by.

City's boardroom, mindful of the way Silvio Berlusconi and Kaka crapped on them in January aren't prepared to be fooled again and appear to have wised up in the transfer market, reverting to the stealth bomber tactics that snared Robinho and Gareth Barry.

Something will give on three fronts in the coming days as the bulk of City's squad work hard at their Germany training camp.

The John Terry, Carlos Tevez Eto'o situations should be resolved one way or the other.

Dealings with Chelski in particular are a melting pot of Sturridge, Tevez and Terry related mystery...

Good lord! The arrogance is astounding. Are you telling me that if Eto'o decided on, let's say Monday, that you lot would go, nah thanks mate, we told you you had to decide by Saturday, sling ya hook! What a load of tosh. City are a bunch of muppets.

Thanks for your input bumps. Of course, you'd much prefer to see a Kakagate style humiliation for City and doubly of course, this isn't the first time a club has delivered a transfer ultimatum. Then again this City 2009 and it's amazing the amount of people who feel drawn, indeed compelled to write about us.

It's arrogant not to want a transfer to drag on all summer? It's arrogant to expect an answer to a contract that was offered weeks and weeks ago? You need a new dictionary mate cos you've misunderstood arrogance for common sense.

we have to put this whole episode to bed and i for one am very pleased that we have issued this ultimatum, bumps is a funny man but let me ask you this bumps if u got offered a new job and *****ed the employers about and then they said if you want the job you start fri, but you turned up on monday do you think they will still allow you to keep your new job? nah i didnt think so city need to move on to otehr targets we cant sit around waiting for 1 player we are after many players not like chelsea who just want 1 player (so they can afford to sit on the fence for a while)

Good move CITY. We are building for the future and cannot be seen to be hanging around waiting on players to make up their minds up over an extended period.It`s been a few weeks now. If ETO`O cant make his mind up in that time maybe he`s not the player for us.CTID

Eto'o has no loyalty and will only sign for City if no-one else turns up, if that is the case, I don't want a player who is not ready to fight for City, but is simply playing for the money.

He's been playing for the money for the last year at Barca... I won't snub a player scoring 30 goals a season if that's their idea of just playing for a paycheck.

Some fat, sweaty, pork pie hat wearing, gin swilling, Mirror tramp wrote a load of *****e and people have fell for it. Hughes, yes Mark Hughes the manager and Cook, yes Gary Cook the CEO, have both said we will need pataince over these deals (Eto'o and Tevez). Now without wanting to sound a miserable sod, i know who i am listening to. Even to be in with a chance of signing a player who has won 2 CL's in the last 4 years, 1 of only 3 players to start both games, scored in both games and the 4th top scorer in Barca's history, with 108 goals in 145 games, we are doing well. To give him an ultimatum, give us a break, we have won nothing for over 30 years, who we gonna sign? Bob Taylor. Get a grip lads. If he needs 3 weeks to make up his mind let him. We can bid for other players, its not a case of one at a time. As for he is coming for the money - great, i hope he is on a goal bonus too.
