Frank Ribery Anyone? Poll

Now that Manchester City has pulled the deal on Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o does anyone think we should stake a claim on Bayern Munich's goal machine, Frank Ribery?

He's a winger not a goal machine and he has already said he will only move to Royal Madroid

I'm pretty sure that move would never happen. We need to be more realistic and patient. Barry was a great signing and I think Tevez is in the bag but the moves for Eto'o and Terry were Kaka esque. Lescott would be a nice addition but what can we really offer top players like Ribbery? This season we have a chance to lay solid foundations for box office signings next year so I think we should keep our feet on the ground. Some of the comments on the MEN website are nothing short of ridiculous in their condemnation of Cook and Hughes. As fans we need to give the guys a break and start supporting them. I think they're behaving professionally and I'm sure they are trying very hard to bring in the best players we can realistically attain.

Bayern have refused to sell him and I dont think he would go to City with Madrid tapping him up.

this is a bigger none starter than kaka, eto and messi...he has said he wont come to england to any team so why change his mind for city even with our money.

Actually, I don't think that Ribery is disposed to move to City. He only want to go in Real...and he told that already

We've got Wrighty!!!
Johnny Baguette
I think hes past his best, peaked to early, consistant performer but starting to be prone to slight injuries.

Fair play lads, I read this article a few days ago and thought, Jees, how delusional have these City fans got? But the comments have made me realise that you're not all that bad. If I were you I'd want my club to focus on realistic signings as a few of you have mentioned as the constant bids for box office players only to be turned down despite offering ridiculous salaries is making your club look a little stupid. Anyways, all the best for next season, as a villa fan hopefully you don't have too good a one and Barry is rubbish for you and is dropped to the bench after 5 games (not that I'm bitter) ;)

Ribery is a sensational player and he would take the premiership by storm. If city got him, id expect him to exclipse ronaldos performances (not goals) BUT hes stated he wants real madrid. If not real, then barca will be his 2nd option. Id make signing a right winger top priority, im not impressed with swp. We can and should buy better in all areas of the team.
enzo city
you've got more chance of luring JT :-)

Get in the best of the rest and build for the future. I think the likes of Barry is the type of signing we need to go for. Lescott/Hangeland/Toure and a playmaker in midfield is where i think we should be looking.
