Dirk Kuyt: We Are Not Scared Of City

Liverpool striker Dirk Kuyt is not daunted by Manchester City's current spending spree. In fact he brushes off any suggestion Mark Hughes's team will finish higher than the mighty Scousers.

The Dutch international told the media...

'They have bought some good players, but we are comfortable with our squad and we are confident we can play better than Manchester City this season.'

'We are obviously looking at Manchester City and who they are buying. Every day it seems like it is a different player who is signing, but we will see what happens in the season.'

Liverpool are not worried!

'They are bringing in quality players, but when you play together in a new team you need time.'

'Maybe they can come into the top four, but we have to make sure we finish above them because we want to go one step higher after last season. We are not worried.'

he's not exactly slagged us off though to be fair to him but he says that we are a real threat which everyone is taking note off.he also said liverpool are taking us serious so fair play to him.

News for you Dork Kite: We're not scared of you lot either, in fact we never have been if you look at the recent past results between City v Liverpool!

Perhaps this season we can give them a better game, and Dork might change his mind.
