Mark Hughes Defends The Club Over John Terry

Mark Hughes told the media that Manchester City should not be reported over their interest in John Terry.

In plain English he said the club had put a bid in for a Chelsea player but it was the Stamford Bridge side that decided to make the approach public knowledge.

Following the video clip readers can see what Vital Manchester City members think about the whole affair by checking out our 100% City Chat forum.

Terrys showing tremendous character here isnt he,leave it now city

This is ridiculous. City didn't tap up Terry -- but Chelsea definitely tapped up SWP.
Sindbad
I don't know. Thought you're not allow public affection to any player without teams consent?

Chelsea has said nothing about tapping up. The league has confirmed there has been no complaint and it's all tabloid-created rubbish revolving around so-called anonymous sources. Yet Hughes uses this as yet ANOTHER opportunity to yap about Terry. It's all rather pitiful. Another couple of days hearing quotes of Hughes rabbiting on about Terry. Wouldn't City fans prefer Hughes to extol the virtues of City players, like Santa Cruz with his two-goal haul of last season, rather than continually sing the praises of another team's captain? Sad.
Sir Cecil
Look at that picture of Hughes at the very top of the page. Is it possible to look more gormless? Looks like he's just had his bottom row of teeth extracted.
Sir Cecil
At every press conference city have, what questions are journo's most likely to ask 1) hows the wife? 2) whos the shortest member of the squad, swp or bellamy? 3) whats the lastest with john terry? God himself is asking hughes this question. Managers dont set the agenda at press conferences, the medias does. I think hughes has answered those questions respectfully, such questions wouldnt have to be answered if "mr chelsea" himself came out and spoke. Yet his silence speaks louder than any "rabbiting" hughes could do.

sir cecil .... "sad" is what you are when you have to resort to poking fun at people's photographs......

Is it true that the Sheikh has ordered that women be banned from attending City's home games? And that any woman caught watching City on Al Jazeera will be stoned publicly?
Sir Cecil
No but apparently it's true that you're racist cecil.
MCFC_Goatboy
Sir Cecil, your comments regarding Hughes makes me think you are tapping him up for a job at Chelsea, I may have to report you.Your comment re Al Jazeera is not funny and is nothing short of disgraceful.
Buzz Lightyear
Fully support the reprimand from Goat and Buzz concerning the Al Jazeera comment- not cool Cecil.
