'If It's Football, It's Vital'

61% Think City Will Replace Arsenal In The Top 4

On our last poll Vital Manchester City regular, severedgein asked the following question...

Who's going to make way for City in the top 4?

Here is the result, in descending order.

Arsenal - 61%
Manchester United - 24%
Liverpool - 12%
Chelsea - 3%

Football fans in general doubt Manchester City will immediately break into the Premier Leagues elite, however Arsene Wenger and Arsenal are not exactly setting the transfer window alight. Perhaps it is time to change the EPL's hierarchy and relegate the Gunners into the Europa League. What do you think?

On our next poll JT asks...

Do Chelsea have a leg to stand on if they report City to the FA over John Terry?

To vote, use the poll question to the right hand side of this article.

We would be the obvious candidate, but we are far from done in the transfer market, and our current squad is better than your as it stands.

Vital spuds in disguise.

So you keep telling us Tom. Yawn!

The poll is deeply flawed. There doesn't seem to have been an option for City not finishing in the top 4, which is the most likely outcome....
WavyGravy
Gooners are the obvious candidates ....but there is an outside chance chelski may implode if JT comes over and their new choice of manager in January cannot sort out the problems left by Ancelotti......
Doody
Manure are the ones most likely to fall...

Tom I assume the 14 refers to your IQ and not your age, with every comment you confirm my suspicions.Wavygravy, of course they are, we use them as bait to trap supports of other teams to come on here with inane comments, thats another bite, many thanks.
Buzz Lightyear
So your current squad is better than ours? Because thet is bull ****.

I am amused that any City fan can expect rational responses from Gooners after the extremely provocative tone of the thread and the opinions canvassed by city fans. We are the Gunners! We may not have, or spend tons of money as you have done in recent times, but I'll be careful not to count the chicks before they hatch if I were you. We've done it before when we were written off, I am confident we will do it again, ol' blue nose did'nt start the mind games this early on a whim, he knows. That Arsene knows. Some people are gonna end up with egg on their faces. And much as I wish you guys the best of luck, I suspect there are going to be a lot of humbled people on here licking their wound come May.

deledudu: What I think is being said is that although Arsene Wenger is an excellent manager, he is restricted in what he can do because of lack of finance... a thing he said himself recently. You paid for the move to the Emirates and have a core principle not to get hugely in debt which is totally understandable. However because of these things you are going to be constantly at a disadvantage in the reality of the Premiership, where to put it bluntly ... money doesn't guarentee success but it doesn't half help. In these terms Arsenal are not top 4 and if your financial situation does not change radically logic says that you will not maintain Top 4 status in footballing terms either. That is not meant to be insulting hyperbole but just straight, clean logic.

We'll see won't we?
deledudu
deledudu: Yes we will, time is always the best arbiter. However as I said to one of your fellow fans we would much rather it is Man Utd that we push out of the Top4 and in those circumstances the drinks are on me!!!
wswilly3
We are coming to get one of you, I bet all those who said that looked their fixture list and added the Manchester City fixture to one of those you looked for first. You don't need to look over your shoulder, because I will tell you we are right behind you.which one will it be?
Buzz Lightyear
With all dues respect Man City are deluded if they think theyre gonna finish 5th let alone 4th
