Barton missed treatment puzzler

Joey Barton would appear to be in trouble again for reportedly failing to turn up for treatment on his injured knee over the weekend according to newspaper reports. If true, this does not look good, particularly at a time when his team mates were turning in a gallant performance at Upton park and were unlucky not to come away with at least a point, mainly thanks to the incompetant match officials.

It's not clear whether the club intends to take any action or whether they sanctioned him missing the session, but once again Joey is attracting the sort of attention that none of us like to hear and see.

With the worst run of straight defeats for over 10 years, we need all our players to be fit and available for the last few matches so that City can finish in a the top half of the table, rather than ending up just above the relegation zone.

Let's hope Joey and all the other players on the extensive injury list are taking personal responsibility for getting fit as soon as they possibly can and fight for their place back in the team.

It seems this guy is a pain and you should let him go .

can't make up my mind whether he's a bad egg or just badly advised
bluetone
Badly advised i'd guess, especially the timing of his transfer request in january.

Some of his performances just before his injury were way below what we know he is capable of. Is it another case that he has lost his appetite for the club, if so, then he should be granted his wish and transfer listed.

If he was a player in my team, then i'd wish him good riddance.
FEn_100
think he wanted to prove a point after everyone was calling for him to be thrown out, now hes done that he just wants gone again
