City Sign New Goalkeeper

James Wood, the son of former Cardiff City goalkeeper George Wood, is following in his father's footsteps after agreeing his first professional contract with Manchester City.

Wood (18) is described as a promising young Scottish goalkeeper who began his career at Ninian Park. In his first interview Wood said..

'Manchester City is a massive club, and I am honoured that they have shown faith in me at this stage of my career.'

'My aim now is to work hard, learn as much as I can from players like Shay Given and hopefully break into first team in the years to come.'

Well we've not exactly signed a new goalkeeper he's been at City for just over two years. He's signed a pro-contract is all.
