Stephen Ireland: No Holds Barred

Manchester City midfielder, Stephen Ireland is pictured knocking down several Manchester United players. His next WBO world title defence is against Sir Alex himself. I wonder who will in?

The bout, scheduled to take place at the Swamp on Sunday 20 September 2009 is live on Sky Sports. A crowd of 70,000 plus is expected with a worldwide television audience estimated to be at least 500 million.

Lets get ready to rumble...

I dont get why you guys like ireland...and not you specifically but why ppl think he is a good player....he is not that good....i think you guys need someone better in his place to seriously cause the top 4 damage...you need someone that would control medfield and get all your classy forwards and wingers involved...and sorry that aint gonna be ireland....at least that's my personal opinion of him dont think that's because he is a city player...i like richards, i like toure, given, tevez(until he turned his back on us) and a few more like swpo...but ireland never rated him..

Citeh are gonna fail mates.
cserran
Who are "Citeh" does the prat mean City? as for ibrahiy he must have been watching the republic of Ireland 'cos he can't mean Steve Ireland.
jackblue
ibrahiy, as a manure fan I'll assume that you have never been to a live football match and prefer to watch from the comfort of your armchair. Perhaps that's why you are so pig ignorant and can't see that Ireland is one of the best midfielders in the premiership.

Stevie was easily City's best player last season and scored 13 goals in all competitions including 9 in the league he also had 9 direct goal assists (equal third in the league) however he had a hand in countless others. This bloke isn't just good he's a star and the stats prove it. I suspect that people like ibrahiy and cserran only wish he was playing for their teams.

Stevie will go up a gear this season.
