Rambling Taggart In Small Club Now A Threat U-Turn

Manchester united's Supreme Leader has spoken about Manchester City. Again. Wandering around the swamp in his dressing gown and slippers he now perceives 'liddle ciddy' to be 'a threat...'

Only a couple of week's ago, This Charming Man-ager referred to The Blues as a 'small club with a small mentality.'

This prompted resurgent City boss Mark Hughes to up his efforts to forge a siege mentality at SportCity by pinning up the shouty ref goader's quotes at City's Carrington training ground.

But one game into the new season and the knight of the realm's wind has started to blow in a different direction...

'It would be foolish to ignore developments at Eastlands. Manchester City do pose a new threat. We have only to look at how well Chelsea did with back-to-back championships after a massive injection of Russian cash to know money can talk.

'All the leading clubs are looking with interest to see how Mark Hughes handles the situation and whether he can make it work.'

Indeed. However, he did knock out a caveat:

'We are all looking over our shoulders, though as far as Manchester United are concerned, it is not in fear.'

Do these latest Fergie scattergun comments confirm further that he is losing the plot...?

Taggert's not stupid, he knows full well that any team that spends close on £100 million is going to improve the way they play, he's been around long enough to realise that a bit of kidology is all part of the game and all he is doing now is letting everybody know that he was pulling everyone's leg, he's basically covering his arse just in case we do surprise a few people
SIR TROYSTER
Your thinking along the same lines as me Troyster. He's cunning like a fox and this little sermon of his is just an arse covering exercise on the off chance that United get beat by us in a few weeks. He has realised that City may very well beat The Rags in a few weeks and to save a little face he has decided to re-phrase his comments just in case this happens. He would look very silly indeed if his BIG team went down to LITTLE City, but it will be ok now that he has said we are a threat.

This is not a sign of Fergie losing it, just further evidence of what a hypocrite he is, always has been and always will be. It's funny to watch Fergie's desparate attempts to wind up Hughes wash over him like water over a duck's back. The pupil has surpassed the teacher and Fergie is none too happy about it.

Fear is engulfing Fergie. He is now like a chameleon, one day City is a small club the other day City is a threat!

He is either losing it or is covering every angle just so that he can say that he was right. Hopefully Taggart can say those immortal words from the TV programme of the same name in a few weeks time ,'Theres been a murder' after we've hopefully battered his team at the swamp.
