The Vital MC Man Of The Match Versus Blackburn

VMC's first MOTM poll of the season sees Gareth Barry, the mercenary who only came for the money rewarded for his box to box lung bursting display at Ewood Park...

Gazzer Bazzer has all the credentials that the City midfield has been missing for a long time.

Seamus Given wasn't far behind with an outstanding goalkeeping display. It's indicative of Sparky's shrewd transfer dealings that five of his 2009 signings registered your top five votes.

Well he got my vote - thought he had a great game in a position that he's maybe not used to playing.

Gareth Barry probably deserves the gong for his overall contribution to the game, but I voted for Adebayor. Without his early goal to set us on our way who knows what could have happened? This was the shot that was heard all around the world....

He definitely made it his though Thai.

I voted for him and they were similarily impressed with Gareth Barry on Match Of The Day.

The people newspaper actually gave Gareth Barry 5/10 and said he had a shocker. The reporter obviously was not watching the same game as the rest of us.
