'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Vital MC Seven Deadly Sins Fans Q+A: Wolves

City are back in town after beating Barca in front of 95,000 fans at the Nou Camp.
Time for the first Eastlands home game of the Season. Akela of Vital WWFC answers our seven questions...

1. Wolves are heading for The City of Manchester Stadium no doubt bouyed by that hard fought win at Wigan!
How's the summer been for the old gold?

It's been exciting being back in the Premier League. The transfer window has been frustrating as I would have liked to have seen a bit more experience added to the side.

2. What are your hopes and aspirations for the new season?

I believe we will stay up, that confidence took a knock with the result against West Ham, but I'm more confident after the win against Wigan.

3. Based on your first two games experience, how are you finding the Premier League? Faster tempo?

I wouldn't say so. A touch more quality proved the difference against West Ham.

4. Dangermen: Who should City be paying close attention to this weekend?

Milijas has proved an immediate hit and could surprise you.

5. Everyone at Manchester City from pitch to state of the art turnstile are very publicly aiming to take on and destabilise 'The Big Four (Bore)' - Can it be done?

If you throw enough money at it, of course it can. Aston Villa threatened it last year, so anyone can do it!

6. Are The Citizens guilty of 'ruining football,' one of the more hysterical charges levelled at the club throughout 2009?

Manchester City are only doing what Chelsea and Manchester United have done before them.

7. And so to battle. Your match prediction?

Heart says we can upset you, head says as long as we don't get hammered I'll be happy.

Very many thanks and respect going out to Akela at Vital Wolves.

Welcome to the Premiership (albeit belatedly) - here's hoping for a good game, and sorry Akela, but I am thinking 3-0 at an absolute minimum.
BlueWolfie
I like his response 'that my head says I hope we don't get hammered' as we really should win this game. However our record when we played Wolves outside of the Premier League in the 1990's was pretty abysmal and when the last came up we lost 1-0 at Molineux and only drew the home match 3-3. I've picked City to win 4-1 in the 'I Know The Score' and 'Predictaball' competitions but an early goal like last Saturday would go a long way to settling the nerves.
Kevinho
Logic says you should win, but just ask Burnley and Man U what they think of logic....We will work hard and I predict Milijas to score. That said, being honest and sad to say, I think we will lose 3-1. I don't suppose you guys fancy giving us a few million quid do you?????
OLDGOLD
Is this a bannana skin for us? With last seasons home form this SHOULD be a banker for us.
Thaibluefan
Normally I would say that TBF, but the mentality has changed to a winning mentality and with that in mind, we should have no problems with the new comers.
Buzz Lightyear
come on Michael Mancienne - upset the Cit£h apple-cart!

One thing is for sure, Keogh will work his socks off, Milijas will have at least 2 shots from 30 yds and I will still not be able to remember the name of the guy whose money you have made a good job of spending
OLDGOLD
thanks for your views akela and the best of luck tomorrow and for the rest of the season.
