Looks an exciting talent, and expect to see him in the cups and hopefully in the first team by the end of the season. Don't think it's wise to heap so much pressure on a youngster though, I mean, look what happened to the new Colin Bell?

great young player but there will only ever be one kinky

Weiss can be better than kinkladze because hes a more team orientated player and tactially better. Although there wasnt a better dribbler anywhere in the galaxy that was better than gio. If i was swp, id be having sleepless nights because weiss will take his place. Kinkladze is a legend in my eyes and he stayed loyal, as a city fan it hurts me to say he deserved a better club at the time. He should have been a world star like rui costa, figo and rivaldo in the 90's

As soon as I read the headline, I felt reservations -- but I can see fifthcolumnblue has already made the point. Prince Vlad has massive potential, but he will need to be nurtured through it. He showed at Barcelona that he has massive hunger and work rate. He has great natural and Academy-improved talents. But he is nowhere near the levels attained by Georgi Kinkladze... That will take years. And the last thing he needs is pressure when he already puts so much on himself already.

No he's just Vlad. I hate comparisons to older players. They're also two different types of player... Kinky was all about the dribbling and close control but no real 'tricks'. Weiss is more of a trickster with step overs and the like.

At this time he is more like Darren Huckerby, keeps the ball when he should passit and passes it when he should keep it. as a comparison to Kinky the pocket genius had a lot more stuff in his kitbag that Vlad has, but he definately looks a great prospect and congrats to him for being selected for his international side Chec Republic.
