It looks like it is happening. Dunney is at Villa today in talks. Anyone want a No 22 Dunne Away shirt?

I'm devastated about this move. Dunne is City through and through and took us through the bad times with aplomb. I still thought he had a lot to offer us. Good luck anyways Dunney.

Good luck to him in the future as up until the last 18 months or so he had been our best and most consistent player. I can understand why some people are gutted about this as I have been in the past when we sold the likes of White, Quinn, Rosler, Kinkladze etc but I think that it would have been rather selfish to expect him to stay after 9 years loyal service if he was going to be replaced as captain and no longer considered as a first team regular, which is obviously the case as why would Hughes have accepted this bid. Good luck in the future Dunney as you'll be missed but at least you'll be able to play week in, week out by moving on.

Hear gear Blues. Sorry to see the big man go. There's been an air of inevitability about this since the start of the summer but to his credit he stuck to his task.

He did himself no favours last year as he had a terrible season the worst i can remember, but the bloke will always have a place in most peoples hearts at city, including mine. But the reality is Dunnymoster is not quite good enough to get us where we want to go.

Another blunder by hughes.u dont let these sort of players go...ur captain?even when chelsea was rebuilding terry, lamps, gallas and gudjonsen were retained.even with a shaky season last term he deserved another chance..

How many player of the year awards did he win for you guys?Must be a record amount anyway.Pity he won't get a testimonial.

Dunne will always be one of my all time favorite City players. He really gave everything he had. I remember a few derby matches in recent years where he was the difference. Thanks for representing the club with class. You'll be missed.
