McGivern Joins Leicester City

Manchester City left back, Ryan McGivern has joined Championship side Leicester City on loan until January.

The Northern Ireland international hopes to make his debut on Monday night when the Foxes takes on Newcastle United at St James' Park.

City boss, Nigel Pearson told their official website...

'We are delighted to secure the services of Ryan until January. He is player that we have been monitoring for a while.'

Pearson finished off by saying...

'Ryan is an exciting prospect and will be a useful addition to our squad as we look to progress this season within the Coca-Cola Championship.'

It'll be good experience for the lad even though he has already won 6 caps for Northern Ireland, it'll be interesting to see if he can perform at Championship level on a consistent basis.

A goodopportunity for him this. Leicester are a good side and they will test him. As an Academy graduate we haven't sold him, so there should be every chance of him coming back if he can make the grade.
