Sunday 30 August 2009: Latest site news from Vital Manchester City.
Between 1-9 September 2009 the site editor is going to be sunning himself in the Mediterranean. Therefore can I ask everyone to refrain from submitting front page poll or article suggestions until September 10. Co-editors, eighthsin, Johnny Baguette, americancitynut will continue to publish articles, and of course the forum moderators will be monitoring the message boards.
Membership
Our membership continues to grow at an unbelievable pace. I won't give exact numbers but I have a feeling we'll crack the 2000 mark sometime in September.
Google adverts
Advertising via Google is working a treat however, like most things in life there are positives and negatives.
Negative
It's costing a fortune.
Positive
The ads are being distributed across the world. At the last count we've had nearly 15 million page impressions (media showing links to VMC).
As from Monday 31 September I am forced into pausing our ads, well for a month or two anyway. I need to build up our coffers again. Of course, anyone can help the cause by donating a few quid via the link directly below this message.
