He was quintessentially awful.

Missed a lot of things, let Michael Brown off easily, SWP tackled from behind in penalty area although the defender got the ball, Zabaleta booked for a similar tackle and got the ball, the difference one in the box one out. He could have queried why the assistant referee disallowed the goal from Richards, because was it not him who initially gave offside against Blackburn when they scored that controversial goal and then consulted the linesman and changed his mind and gave a goal.

I'll give him 2 out of 10 just for turning up, tough in all fairness I thought that Michael Brown was refereeing the match as that could surely be the only reason why he wasn't sent off for persistent fouling and was surprisingly never cautioned. But what did we seriously expect from the bloke who effectively awarded United last seasons title with his shocking performance in their match against Spurs and after this remarkable show of incompetence was still awarded the FA Cup Final, where he took part in that cringeworthy photoshoot with the FA Cup in the week leading up to the game, which were publsihed in the papers.

Gareth barry was getting away with quite a bit too! The ref was just generally incosistant though, so I'd probably only give him 2/10

Hey! We won the game so gave him a 6 - if we had dropped points then it would have been 3.

I think it is time that fans' organisations should start to keep files on referees and "name and shame" the worst ones. Webb's performance in this game was terrible.
