The Vital MC Man Of The Match Versus Portsmouth

City and England midfield general Gareth Barry is starting to look a snip of a buy at £12 million. He's our Man of The Match in the latest away win at Pompey...

It was another all over the pitch performance from the only came for the money battler. He's gutsy and clearly got a big engine that sees him work tirelessly for the cause.

Emmanuel Adebayor's hard work didn't go unnoticed either by the VMC posse.

I voted for Adebayor as he is the one sticking the ball in the net but Barry is playing well, so well done.

Barry didn't really have anyone to lay against in midfield - although i guess you can "only play against whats put in front of you" - and he did that best!

Barry is a top talent whose professionalism is helping raise standards right across the squad.

Barry has not put a foot wrong since he's been at the club, and when he has'nt won motm, he has benn pretty damn close...imho

Barry Is covering the whole of the defensive line in front of Kolo and the gang and is doing a brilliant job, he has brought balance to the left side of defence and therefore it is now more difficult for opposing sides to attack that area. We have been lucky so far with teams missing relatively easy chances, but the more games we get under our belt the better we will become.

I voted for Barry - best value for money transfer of the summer.

Given it was a 1-0 and pompey are weak in midfield I thought Adebayor... match winner!
