'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Robbie Knacked For Up To A Month

City's celebrations at the stunning victory over a classy Arsenal side have been tempered somewhat by more international break injury woe...

The Blues' brilliantly gifted Robinho is out of action for 3-4 weeks, the club has confirmed after it was revealed he has a stress fractue above his ankle following a scan.

It's an unwelcome blow to Mark Hughes' options for the upcoming Manchester derby, but he will have taken great heart from the way City battled today and worked hard for each other against one of the club's forming the Premier League's established hierarchy.

The second piece of crap injury news from the last 48 hours after the injury to Tevez. We need them back asap as we are starting to look thin in attack.

If the campaign to ban Ade is successful we could be going into the Derby with only Bellamy available up front as long as his knee held out today.

It wasn't that long ago we were saying we had too many forwards.

This is exactly why it is risky to put too many players out on loan. City are running with five senior strikers; Adebayor, Bellamy, Robinho, Tevez and Santa Cruz. Three are injured. Nobody is suspended, thankfully, but as the season develops anything can happen. The "trial by television" of Adebayor is to my mind totally unreasonable. Referees run games of football, not Alan Hansen. I've watched the videos and it looks to me as if only Adebayor actually knows for certain what happened. It's a man's game and sometimes people get hurt a bit. From what I saw, an Elastoplast will sort this one!

JB, looking at the replays, you have to say a ban is a certainty, but we may have him if he goes for a personal hearing and that would give us time to get Tevez fit with RSC on the Berti.

Last season if robinho was injured, city would seriously be effected. But we have a stronger squad now and his loss doesnt hamper our chances of winning. We have petrov and bellamy fighting for his robbies spot. Especially since he has hit form yet for club and country. Robbie and tevez have been under par, and even ireland hasnt hit the heights of last season at the moment. Thankfully we have a good squad now.

I bet Benjani is getting excited and is warming his shoulder up in early anticipation of a repeat performance from 2 seasons back! I hope that we don't need him though!
Kevinho
He may not be as big an out as he would have been last year but he will still be sorely missed, especially with Tev and possibly Ade missing as well. What about RSC? I heard he was back in full training last week.
