Adebayor Charged: Violent And Improper Conduct
The English Football Association has today charged MCFC striker Emmanuel Adebayor with violent conduct and improper conduct in City's 4-2 win over Arsenal...
Cue street parties in North London and 'The Street of Shame' as hacks and Arsenal fans come together to watch the burning!
The punishment will soon be confirmed but Ade is looking at a 3 match ban for his reaction to Robin van Persie's tackle and maybe 2 more games for his reaction to goading from the travelling Arsenal supporters.
At least now Mark Hughes can get on with preparing for Sunday's Manchester derby with Craig Bellamy as his one remaining available striker.
But before Arsenal fans "string up" too much bunting, in truth they could have done with City winning at the swamp as both the rags and Chelsea are already threatening to disappear over the horizon from them again, but right now City have a mountain to climb.

Adebayor is going to have a problem when he scores on the Emirates Stadium, unless it's in the end that the city fans are in. Because if he runs across the entire pitch to celebrate with city fans he will be banned again for improper conduct, and if he celebrates in the opposite end with the Arsenal fans he will be banned for inciting a riot.

lets stamp out celebrations in the game, cos everyweek we are gunna have a riot now, someone will dive to win a pen and celebrate after that pen is scored, which will in turn infuriate the opposing team/fans and cause a riot, but hey its ok to dive and cheat but its not ok to stay on the pitch and bask in the glory of a perfectly good goal you have just scored, theres been some staggering decisions taken this week and we have now missed our chance to stamp out diving which means drogba will have a field day this weekend (its a good job the winker is no longer in the prem init)

Who remembers Rooney giving it the big one past us at Eastlands when he scored the winner last season? Robbie Fowler and Andy Hinchcliffe both high fiving it to the rags for different reasons after scoring in derbies? Furthermore, this has to become a none body contact sport. That's the only way to rule out these 4 day witch hunts.

Back to the future and this is an absolute hammer blow to our season's plans. Adebayor has 4 goals in 4 league starts and has been playing as if his life depended upon it against all the mercenary predictions the Arsenal fans gave us. We're essentially out of ammo for the swamp now. We are going to have to dig deep for victory.

1 more thing i would like to rant about is this, eduardo dives to win a pen, the celtic fans start a riot because hes cheated now whos should get the blame for that?,, after all his dive was just as bad as ades run up the pitch they both could of caused a riot so why should 1 get away with it while the other is punished and one cheated to win a goal while the other just basked in his glory of a good goal

the article i read i cant find it now but it had quotes from hughes saying that hes making a good recovery and the medical team said 2-3 weeks but hes hopefull he will make the derby because tevez is desperate to play (hughes own words)

It would have been fantastic to see Ade mixing it up with the rag defenders but we have to move on. I'll say it now, considering this week's ready up, Adebayor should not be asked to play at the Emirates next year. That'll ***** on their champagne and chips.

As anuetral it has been quite entertaining to see rival supporters go at it this past few days.I have to say that there is winning arguments on both sides but the facts point to Manchester city are now a club that will compete at the top potentially. With fame and fortune comes the ugly road of jealousy,hatred and abuse. I think the first thing u guys should realise is that alot of people in and around the game will be scrutinising every move u make, its good and well to say its a witch hunt etc and pulling articles from evry site giving u stick,but the truth is Players like Adebeyor and their antics will not go unoticed or unpunnished, U guys have got everything u want for a football club but if u wanna mess it with the big boys then perhaps stop a little of the wineing(i would hate to put u guys in same class as those Arsh*les)

Enzo, that is because Eduardo WAS touched by Boruc for the penalty, just like Adebayor DID stamp into Van Percie's face with his studs up, it was deliberate, that was disgraceful and deserved a ban, Simple, it would't matter who it was, are you condoning his actions?

steff - does RVP not deserve a ban then for his two footed lunge with both feet in the air? That's also a red card offence warranting a 3 game ban. As for rescinding the Eduardo ban I agree.... you can't say it wasn't a dive and keep a clean face but that offence is a booking not a 2 game ban.

its should only be a booking if the ref sees it, if the wool is completely pulled over the refs eyes then the player should get a 1 game ban for cheating its only fair, if the ref sees it and gives a yellow then he has won no advantage, but if the ref doesnt see it and gives the pen then hes won an advantage throu cheating, the fact the pen was given makes it a red card offence for me

Ade is guity and there is nothing to defend in that regardless of who you support. RVP's tackle on Ade was bad, he is guilty but he didnt kick him in the face, you get it?
If RVP kicked Ade in the face intentionally he should get suspended and I couldnt argue with even a 10 match ban. You dont stamp someone in th face without intent to hurt the player.
This is not even about football its about wrong and right and you guys defending an obvious brutal play make you seem worse than Ade. COME ON! cut the foolishness out!

Why did Adebayor even STAMP him, when he could've just let it go and complained to the ref like any player would do? He did'nt have to! That was stupidity and out of malice. He's got to be charged for that. As for the goal celebration, Arsenal fans have no right to argue about that one. Henry did it for them, his protege did it against them. Simple, really. Actually Blue wolfie i was taking the pi**. Goatboy has claimed that calling Adebayor's dad an Elephant washer is being racist. Then he called it racially sterotyping. And the way you have corrected me means you agree with me on that. As you say, it would imply that all elephant washers are of one colour which is obiously not the case. I do however agree it is an insult and to a degree out of order, but not the worst chant ever. And for the last time, City have SIX strikers in the senior squad. Only Bellamy is available to face the rags. Adebayor banned, RSC, Tevez, Robinho, Benjani all injured. And...I'll wager that Arsenal never get past Chelsea or the rags this season.

This is a discrace. If Ade has to answere to them for his celebration and for catching RVP with his foot then RVP should have the same for his high dangerous two footed challenge and for swearing at the City fans yet there isn't even a hint of yjis. The Arse should also be fined for the way their fans behaved. Seems to me that the FA are just 'puppets' for the so called big 4 as they seem to get away with everything while others have to pay the penalty. Wheres the justice. Its about time someone did something about it perhaps th 'small' 16 could get together and sort out the FA.

I find some of the comments by opposition fans laughable. The FA can charge Adebayor for his alleged stamp and for his celebration but that Van ******s 2 footed lunge and his abusive celebration in front of the City fans is ok - A case of double standards in anyones eyes I think.
