Carl Tilson Calls For Action!

Emmanuel Adebayor banned!
Four strikers struggling to be fit!
The odds remain stacked against us...

Do we give up and accept we are going to lose?

No... Not a chance as the history of Manchester City has shown we never give up no matter what the circumstances may be!

True, we may be without our high quality strike-force but let us not forget, even though the money players won't be on the pitch we still have the ability to overturn adversity and go to Old Trafford and achieve victory.

The spirit has greater importance than the body, as the spirit can make the human body do unbelievable things you could never imagine possible.

Maybe this is our chance to show people even without money, Manchester City is just as dangerous, and let's prove that we are a force to be reckoned with!

With Benjamin playing, could it be a repeat of last year's victory I wonder...Now wouldn't that be nice?

Anyway, whoever Mark Hughes selects, let us get behind our squad on Sunday with our blue scarves waving and our Bluemoon singing... Never the ban we will win!!!

Passionate ...Determined...Motivated...You Decide!!!

Alright lads? Its going to be all about commitment on sunday and you will have to match the CHAMPIONS for it. Still got my signed lampshade from 93 with Brucey Sharpey Incey Giggsy AND Hughesy on it. THATS commitment and THATS the legacy. Shabba!

That's the spirit Carl! If we had a quid for every time City have achieved the impossible we'd all be rich. We have Academy players Richards, Ireland, Onuoha, Weiss, Wright-Phillips; we've got Barry, Bridge, Zabaleta, de Jong, Toure and Lescott. And we've got supercharged David Bellamy. And the best goalkeeper in the Premiership -- Shay Given. We''ll give Manyoo a game alright. Come on City!
Sindbad
We fight on, it's how it's always been at City...
BlueWolfie
WOW, NOBby, a signed LAMPSHADE eh! the last of the big spenders! you must have been 2 or 3 when that result happened and mummy and daddy spent all of £1 on the thing......as for the autograph's are you sure there authentic? as i don't want to wee on your parade, there were 1000's of em made back then!!!!1

Nobby must have got a good souvenir from his first season as a fan in 1993 - Afterall football began that year for the vast array of United fans! We have to stand up to the challenge and compete with whatever is out our disposal come Sunday and we can get a result, it might only be a draw as we don't have as many options as ideal to maybe win it but we will fight them all the way.

This game will come down to the ref. Even without several of our best players, we still have a squad that is more than a match for the depleted and ageing manure squad. If we end up with a little bitch of a ref that falls for fergie's intimidation then we'll get kicked all over the park. If the ref is fair and stamps the crap out early (Note to SWP - take your kevlar shinpads, just in case), we should be in for a cracking game.

chill lads - comfy 3-0 win to the blues ;0)
bluemooner_mcfc
The ref's M Atkinson from Yorkshire, Blues. Just back from reffing Zurich 2 Real Madrid 5...
Johnny Baguette
Atkinson reffed the 1-0 defeat at Stoke after which SWP got banned for 3 games for waving a leg in the air.

Excellent piece. True, you cant really predict what will happen on Sunday (this is still City) but you have to feel that with a stronger defence now, Micah looking like he is going to be a real asset again, and if Lescott ca shake off the cobwebs he has shown in the first couple of games... we can hold the line. In terms of attack.. we can only hope that Petrov puts in a real performance to demonstrate the commitment and passion for the club we hope for, Craig B will run his heart out and is, for me, our star man.... and of course SWP can run circles round anyone on his day. Then 10 mins to go, 0-0, Tevez comes on, pops it in the onion sack.... and the rest is history..... Lets cheer for the lads on Sunday (from the UAE) and lets look forward to the return leg and win by a larger margin.
Blue Arab
Alright lads? Refs is it? EVERY ref is in the Champions pocket. They get overwhelmed by the majesty of the place. And I bet none of you have got City wallpaper in your living room. COMMITMENT.
Nobby Allcock
We still have a quality list of players to put on the park, albeit one striker short but that shouldn't matter too much. I also see that betfair have us at $6.40. I like those odds, I might even go down and put a few bucks on for a win.
bluesnozza
I'll hold my hands up and say no, I haven't got City wallpaper in my living room nobby. But I do think it's a bit strange for a red like you to have City wallpaper. Please tell me where I can buy some.
