Robinho To Return At Home To Burnley?

The fragility of City's brilliant Robinho persists as he is ruled out for another fortnight following an injury rehabilitation setback...

Mark Hughes revealed the latest injury situation as City prepare for Sunday's important clash with a Fulham side rocked by Roma's last second Europa League equaliser at Craven Cottage:

'He's obviously a little bit frustrated because the injury has gone on longer than we would have liked. We were getting him into the pressure chamber to aid the healing process because he has had a setback and it will be another ten to 14 days before he plays. I'm sure once Robi`s fit to play, he will have an even greater impact on the team than he did in his first season with us. He has a real role to play here.'

Positive words from Sparky, throwing down the sky blue gauntlet to the Brazilian superstar.

Considering the length of Robbie's absence, Burnley at home in early November looks to offer the best opportunity to ease the uber-talented striker back into the City side.

In other news:

Sparky also revealed his intention to keep the unsettled Martin Petrov at SportCity. Rigsby's agent is understood to be in talks with The Blues hierarchy over a contract extension offer.

Take your time Robi - we are not doing too bad without you. Looking forward to seeing you back fully fit.

Maybe, maybe not - There are too many conflicting reports to say when he really will be back. Each week that passes we edge a week closer to January.
