Scunthorpe Struggling To Sell Ticket Allocation

Championship side Scunthorpe United are struggling to sell their 6000 seat allocation for Wednesday nights Carling Cup Round 4 match at the City of Manchester City Stadium.

So far, around 2,900 tickets have been sold which means approximately 3000 away seats will lie dormant.

If you are a Scunny supporter and you are contemplating coming to Eastlands but you haven't made up your mind, now is your chance of a lifetime to visit our great stadium. Tickets sales close tomorrow at 2pm.

As usual, we at Vital Manchester City are running our ever popular Crowd Prediction & Beat The Clock thread. In addition we have our Match Day thread via our Match Day forum. Scunny supporters are more than welcome.

Live TV Feed

This may prove difficult finding one, but if there is a live feed out there on the net we'll find it. Keep an eye on our Match Day thread for details. Oh and please don't add TV links via our front page comments section. Thanks.

Well, Fulham brought 91 fans to Manchester for the last round. I'm sure the Iron will eclipse that!

Can't sell them? It's not that far really, and although they well think they are not going to win, that's not the point is it? That's what this cup (and the FA Cup) are made for - upsets by the lower divisional teams.

I saw this yesterday and thought that it was a bit of a poor effort in all honesty. Supporters of lower league teams should look forward to this type of opportunity particularly as City are always in the news these days. Perhaps if it was an FA Cup tie on a Saturday afternoon then they would have sold out their allocation no problem but they should come and support their team as if we play like we did yesterday then they'd have more than half a chance of taking a big scalp.

Though in all fairness at least they'll be bringing more supporters than what are on their Vital site - I posted an article over there after the draw, asking if they were excited about their visit to Eastlands - 74 people have viewed it but not 1 reply!

They're up to around 3,500 now!
