The Vital MC MOTM Versus Fulham

City & England's Wayne Bridge has been something of an unsung hero so far this campaign but he's the VMC people's choice from the disappointing 2-2 draw with The Cottagers...

Perhaps something of a surprise to see a defender edge out Martin Petrov for the poll win considering The Blues throwing away the game at the back, but Bridgey has given it 110% this season and seems to have found an extra yard or two of pace from when he joined us.

However, the vote across the team reflects upon their poor performance as a unit.

3. Wayne Bridge 45%
17. Martin Petrov 34%
25. Emmanuel Adebayor 6%
1. Shay Given 3%
28. Kolo Toure 2%
19. Joleon Lescott 2%
39. Craig Bellamy 2%
34. Nigel De Jong 2%
18. Gareth Barry 2%
32. Carlos Tevez 2%
7. Stephen Ireland 0%
8. Shaun Wright-Phillips 0%
33. Vincent Kompany 0%
2. Micah Richards 0%

He's been our best defender this year. Glad he's coming good as I've always rated him.
MCFC_Goatboy
Agree with MCFC_Goatboy -- City's best defender this season.

I totally agree with the previous 2 comments as Bridge always does his job unlike the rest of our defence. Even though he is all left foot he has performed at a decent level on a consistent basis this season and is vastly improved from the player that were saw for the most part of January to May of last season now that he is fully settled in.
Kevinho
Bridge got my vote - hope it wasn' a one off performance and he continues to get better.
Thaibluefan
He's been very good this year and has made few mistakes, he also looks to be getting better as the seasons gone on. Very good game from him Sunday and was best on the pitch.
