Adebayor In Praise Of Johnno

Great news for Planet Blue tonight as Emmanuel Adebayor whilst talking of his praise for Kolo And The Gang singled out Michael Johnson for a special mention...

'The Togonator' was talking to the official City site today of his contentment at life with The Blues:

'In training everyone is tackling, fighting for the ball and talking to you, but that's what we need even in training because that's what will happen in every game. They are there to give you those difficult moments at the training ground, so everyone is fighting for the club, and it makes training very interesting!'

City's four goal giant went on:

'Stephen Ireland is one of the most talented players I have seen, and Nigel de Jong is doing really well, he fights for his team all over the pitch and he has a lot of character.'

Yet there's one young player fighting his way back into contention after a terrible year. Michael Johnson. The Urmston born lad will take great heart from these words from a highly experienced striker:

'I have been very pleased to see Michael Johnson back in action. I did not really know about him before, but when I came here a few people told me that he was a great player. He's coming back from injury but now I have seen him in training, and I like his style of playing. He's very calm, even when it gets difficult he keeps calm, takes the ball and does what he think is the right thing. I've always admired that kind of player.'

Inspirational stuff from our star striker and perfectly timed as Johnno battles away at Carrington.

Might we expect a run out for Johnno against Scunthorpe tomorrow? Hope so, the lad is class and could do with some confidence building.

I second that J, to get the Johnno back of old would be like signing a new multi million pound player, go on Hughesy give the lad at least one full half
SIR TROYSTER
I hope by 'four goal giant' you meant he's rather tall, as opposed to the amount of goals he's scored. As for Johnno, would love to see (and by "see", I mean listen to on the wireless, 'cause we have yet to find a single TV station anywhere in the World showing it), him get a big run-out against the S****s (LOL - you can blame that name on Sev)

Hopefully MJ might get a look in tomorrow night as he looked like our best prospect a couple of years back.
