The Vital MC MOTM Versus Birmingham

The Vital MC MOTM Versus Birmingham

Shay Given joined Manchester City for £7 million only 10 months ago but it's as if the brilliant bargain goalkeeper has been with us for years such is our faith in him...

Seamus has come in a close second repeatedly in our MOTM polls throughout the first months of the season but his impact upon the result at Birmingham was without question.

Meanwhile, once again, Wayne Bridge's tireless efforts have not gone un-noticed.

1. Shay Given 62%
3. Wayne Bridge 10%
8. Shaun Wright-Phillips 4%
5. Pablo Zabaleta 4%
32. Carlos Tevez 4%
7. Stephen Ireland 2%

19. Joleon Lescott 2%
34. Nigel De Jong 2%
18. Gareth Barry 2%
39. Craig Bellamy 2%

The French Live TV commentators remarked on Sunday how smart and stylish City's players looked as they arrived for and left work. Alongside our three stylish kits, we're certainly looking the part if not exactly fulfilling it!

Well done Shay, the only serious contender for the award in my opinion. He has even got himself a job on the TV tonight for Sky at the Sheffield United v Newcastle United match.

Some great saves, kept us in it, with our front line not able to get through the tall defences that appear to be the norm in the Premier.

He saved us from embarresment again, no doubt. His form has been a big part of our top four push this year, he's world-class.
